A New Life..

Well I have been on a hiatus, sort of. On June 21st, I had my second son, Levi Lukas. I had a c-section. I must admit as I went to the hospital last Monday I was nervous. Perhaps because I knew what would happen. I prayed that things would go smoothly. Then as I was on the table, I prayed that I could just get through the next couple of hours. As we left the hospital with poor weight numbers on our newborn, I prayed again let him gain, let him eat and gain. And you know what? The Lord has answered every prayer I have prayed since that Monday. It has been amazing to see my new son come into the world - to see the personality God has bestowed on him. It has been great to see my older son, love on his baby brother, and learn the life skills of caring for another person. He sure is good at it so far. And I, as Mama, am in my little piece of heaven on Earth!

Finally getting the Shapes & Coloring "thing."

This was from "class" yesterday night. Logan is finally starting to get the hang of shapes and coloring. He cracks me up with it. His favorite shape seems to be the circle. Not really sure why. He also tries to color everything red or blue, I guess I can say those are his favorite colors. It is so much fun and touching as a Mother to see my son actually learning. Even last month he was not as solid on his shapes or how to really color a picture. If I weren't about to have another baby, another son, I might cry because my "baby," is turning 3 in less than 2 months. So, now I will just enjoy him growing and "baby" Levi as he shall be arriving on Monday the 21st.

Blessings,
Ashley

Hi,
While I am not terrified at the thought of having our second son, Levi, next Monday, I do have that I am done feeling. I have that, let's try to get through this week if we can feeling. I am tense for some reason, my family seems to be more tense - I guess we are all anticipating Levi's arrival. Even my two dogs seem to know something is "up." Well I was reading another blog and this scripture caught my eye -how appropriate for me to see this morning.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go". Joshua 1:9

PURPOSE is more important than PERFECTION!

"PURPOSE is more important than PERFECTION." I read this title in an article that I received in my email in-box. It jumped out at me. Errors will occur the article said, but the purpose of why you are doing what you are doing remains the same.

What do you think of that?

Ashley

We're coming to the END!

Well we're coming to the end of my pregnancy. The bag is packed! We have 9 days left as of todaY!! All of us are feeding off that energy, even my two dogs seems to know change is coming. I must admit nerves are sometimes short as well. Life right now for Logan has been blocks, coloring, and lots of reading with Daddy at night. I know next week I will need to do something with him, to keep his mind and my mind of the coming event. You see I am having a c-section on the 21st. So, everything gets planned. Well, at least by the 18th I will know the finalized plan. I hope to get more work done with him and get a portfolio going for him. Logan is such a trooper and I am really blessed that my son is as flexible as he has been. More later..

So, here's to Levi, the bean in transit!
We're all ready to see you son!
Blessings,
Ashley

Recovery Monday..

There is something about Monday. I just can't put my finger on it. I just seem to be a little sore, a little more tired than normal. Things can be forgotten more on this day and sometimes the house doesn't look great on this day. I have offically started calling it "Recovery Monday," it doesn't mean we laze about and do anything, but I just make it my lax day with no "plans," per say. Slow and easy wins the race seems to be the motto here. So, I have done my devotion and I am working on the blog, getting my list of chores that need to be done. I honestly cannot say what will be done, but I am just really looking forward to the day.

Blessings,
Ashley

From my Morning Devotion Time..

"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." Epehsians 4:1-6 (NIV)

I read this and it is a great reminder of the "oneness" of Christ and how we are to be as Christians. I pray you have a blessed Sunday!
